Inelco Hunter, distributor for ProTek Devices, has announced the availability of a range of RTCA DO-160G Compliant TVS Circuit Protection Devices. The SMBJxxA/CA series of devices are designed to guard power supply, AC/DC, and telecom applications. These are multi-line TVS arrays for board-level circuit protection across standard TTL and MOS bus line applications, including power supplies and AC/DC.
Circuit protection guards against the damaging effects of ESD, tertiary lightning, and switching transients. The SMBJxxA/CA series has a peak pulse power rating of 600 watts for a 10/1000 microsecond waveshape. It also meets IEC standards 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-4 and IEC 61000-4-5 requirements. The RTCA DO-160G compliant devices are rated at Air 15kV and Contact 8kV. They are UL Registered and REACH and RoHS Compliant.
The circuit protection devices use Glass Passivated Chip technology and are rated at 600 Watts Peak Pulse Power per Line. Particular benefits include low leakage current with bidirectional and unidirectional configurations. They offer a very fast response time and excellent clamping capability, and meet flammability Rating UL 94V-0. The rugged devices are manufactured with a moulded JEDEC DO-214AA package, with an approximate weight of 0.103 grams. The contacts have Lead-Free Pure-Tin Plating (Annealed) and the solderability meets MIL-STD-750, Method 2026.
